The oak you want lit is out by the road, and the only outdoor outlet is on the garage. On a Loomis property, that gap is the whole job. Houses sit back on an acre or five, and Loomis Christmas light installation takes some planning before anybody climbs a ladder. We’re just up I-80 from our Roseville base, so we’re in town a lot. Call (916) 776-8436 and we’ll work through your place on the phone.
Lighting Acreage Starts With Power
On a regular suburban lot, the outlet is 20 feet from the roofline. Out here it might be 150 feet from the tree and farther from the front gate. Before we pick a single bulb, we figure out:
- Which exterior outlets you have, and which ones are GFCI protected.
- What each circuit already carries. A barn, a well pump or a shop on the same breaker changes the math.
- How cord gets from the outlet to each display without crossing the drive where a truck or trailer will run it over.
- Where the timer goes so every zone comes on together.
Long outdoor runs are where rain causes trouble, so we keep the distance between plug points short and every connection up off the dirt.
Loomis Neighborhoods We Light
Historic downtown Loomis
Closest to Rocklin and Roseville, the blocks near the old downtown have porches, railings and trim with some character to it. That’s where lit garland and a door wreath do their best work. Downtown storefronts are a good fit for our commercial roofline work too.
Taylor Road and King Road
Parcels along Taylor Road and King Road often run one to five acres, many with horse fencing. A lit fence line along the road frontage is one of the best-looking things you can do on a property like that, and our fence line lighting is built for exactly this.
Sierra de Montserrat
Custom estate homes on roughly four-acre parcels in the hills, with equestrian trails through the community. Lanes like Montserrat Lane are a natural fit for stake lighting that follows the drive up to the house. Estate rooflines are long, with plenty of peaks, so we plan the clip layout from photos before install day.
Cambridge Estates and Clos du Lac
Both have big lots. Clos du Lac, out toward Folsom Lake, leans Mediterranean, which usually means tile. On tile we slip a clip under the bottom lip of each piece and stay on the ladder so nobody’s boots crack anything.
Loomis Hills and Horseshoe Bar
Rolling ground and bigger trees. Slopes change how we set ladders and how far apart we plant stakes, and a mature oak on a hillside is one of the best trunk wraps you’ll get anywhere.
What a Loomis Display Usually Includes
On acreage you don’t have to light the whole thing. Pick what people see from the road and the drive. Usually that’s the roofline across the front, clipped to the shingle tabs, gutter lip or tile edge, and one great oak wrapped from the ground into the big lower limbs. Stone gate pillars or pergola posts get a spiral. Stakes line the last stretch of the drive, set in off the edge and clear of the sprinkler and drip lines. A lit wreath goes on the gate, the barn or the peak over the garage, and garland runs along a railing or the entry gate.
Gates, Dogs and Scheduling
Plenty of Loomis properties sit behind a private gate. A few things help: the gate code or someone who can buzz us in, a heads-up if your HOA wants notice, and a word about dogs, horses or livestock. We’d rather hear about the electric fence before we set a ladder next to it. We’ll also ask about septic lines and irrigation before we drive stakes anywhere near them, since rural lots hide a lot underground.
Loomis Christmas Light Installation Through the Season
We install, test every run and set the timer before we leave. If wind off the foothills knocks something loose, call (916) 776-8436 and we send someone out with a replacement. In January we take it all down, roof, trees, stakes and fence line, and haul it away, so you’re not storing bins or climbing up there in February.
We’re working Rocklin, Granite Bay and Penryn all season, so a stop in Loomis fits the route. See what we do for your neighbors in Granite Bay, or send us your address and a few photos. When you call (916) 776-8436, have a rough idea where your outdoor outlets are. It saves us both time.
