A house on Brick Mason Circle won the Traditional category in the 2025 West Roseville Christmas House Decorating Contest, and it sits right here in Fiddyment Farm. We can’t tell you what the voters liked about it. We can give a newer house clean, straight lines, and that is the job we do. For Fiddyment Farm Christmas light installation with the lights supplied, hung, timed and removed, call (916) 776-8436.
Is there an HOA? Mostly no
Many listings in this neighborhood state there’s no HOA. CC&Rs still attach to the properties, and a village here or there may have a sub-association, though we haven’t seen one named. The Fiddyment Farm Neighborhood Association is a volunteer city neighborhood group, not an HOA. So for most homes there is no display period to hit. Put lights up when it suits you. If your street does have an association, pass along its current rules and both the hanging date and the January removal get set to fit.
Newer rooflines and how we clip them
Homes here mostly date to the 2010s and 2020s, with phases still releasing. JMC Homes and Taylor Builders are among the builders, and the look leans contemporary Craftsman and California farmhouse. Where a gable is steep, we work it from a ladder at the eave rather than walking the pitch. Send a picture of the roof edge and we’ll know which clip it takes before the truck is loaded. Painted trim and siding never get a nail, staple or screw. Roofline lights follow the fascia so the run looks ruled, with no sagging between clips.
Small lots, young trees, low-water yards
This was Fiddyment family pistachio farmland before it was streets, and the street trees are still young. A new tree has a thin trunk and soft bark, so a tree wrap goes on with a light hand. We don’t wrap anything still tied to nursery stakes.
Front yards are compact and planted for low water use, which often means drip tubing under bark or rock. Stake lighting along the walk or driveway goes in by hand, shallow, and away from drip lines and emitters. If walkway lights are the main thing you want, our stake lighting page covers it. Porch posts get pillar wraps. A lit wreath sits well on a gable or over the garage, and lit garland handles the front door surround.
Fiddyment Farm Christmas light installation, from first photo to January
The quote takes a phone call, or a couple of pictures sent by text or email: one wide shot of the front and one of the nearest outdoor outlet. Not sure whether your street has an association? Bring it up when you call (916) 776-8436. We can point you to the right spot in your closing papers. On install day we bring all the lights and do the ladder work. Cords tuck along downspouts and trim, and a timer brings the display on at dusk and shuts it off at the hour you choose.
If part of the display quits in December, ring (916) 776-8436 and we’ll deal with it. In January we remove everything and take it with us.
Where we’re working nearby
Our crew runs Fiddyment Rd and Blue Oaks Blvd all season, past Fiddyment Farm Elementary, along Hayden Parkway and over by West Park High School. We’re also in WestPark, which shares the same decorating contest, and across the rest of Roseville.
Entering this year? Say so on the call so the street side gets the attention. The number is (916) 776-8436, and the contact page works if you’d rather send a note.
Fiddyment Farm quick answers
Does Fiddyment Farm have HOA rules about holiday lights?
Mostly no. Many homes are listed with no HOA, though CC&Rs apply and some villages may have a sub-association. The Fiddyment Farm Neighborhood Association is a volunteer group, not an HOA. Check your own documents if you’re unsure.
Will stakes damage my drip irrigation?
We set stakes shallow and by hand, away from visible drip tubing and emitters. If you know where your lines run, mention it in your photos.
Our trees were planted a couple of years ago. Can they be wrapped?
If the trunk stands without nursery stakes, usually yes, with a light hand. If it’s still staked, we skip the wrap and put the effort into the roofline and walkway.
Can you help us get ready for the West Roseville decorating contest?
Yes. Tell us which category you’re entering when you call. We can’t promise a result. What we can do is hand you a straight roofline and a tidy entry before voting opens.
