All 3,110 homes in this Del Webb community are single-level, so Sun City Roseville Christmas light installation is short-ladder work where the calendar matters more than the height. The Sun City Roseville Community Association publishes holiday dates, and lights in trees and shrubs have their own dates, separate from yard decorations. Light Up Christmas Light Installation hangs the lights, programs the timer, then shows up again in January for removal. Call (916) 776-8436 and tell us which street off Del Webb Blvd you live on.
What the association has published about holiday dates
The association (SCRCA) laid this out in its Village Courier magazine in November 2024, citing Design Guideline 3.04. There are two separate items:
- Holiday decorations. Statues, artifacts and other decorative landscaping items are allowed four weeks before the holiday and must be removed two weeks after it. For the 2024 to 2025 season, the Courier asked residents to have yards clear of decorations by January 8.
- Lights in trees, shrubs and decorative features. Not allowed except during the winter holiday season, which the guideline gives as November 15 through January 15.
The Courier also reminded residents that a spotlight pointed at decorations should not shine into a neighbor’s home. One thing the published text does not spell out: which of those two sets of dates covers lights on the roofline itself. We won’t guess at that. Ask the Community Standards office before you pick an install date, and read the current guideline, because boards revise these. We book the install and the removal around the answer you get.
Sun City Roseville Christmas light installation on a one-story roof
Del Webb built these houses between 1995 and 2000 in 25 floor plans, every one of them a single story. Low eaves make for a quick install. The roof material picks the clip:
- Concrete tile: a clip that slides under the front edge of the tile or grips the gutter lip. Nobody walks the tile, since it cracks under a boot.
- Composition shingle: a tab clip tucked under the shingle edge, or a gutter clip where a gutter runs.
- Zero nails or staples, and no holes in stucco or fascia.
Cords drop down a downspout or an inside corner instead of crossing the garage face. The plug goes to a covered outdoor outlet when the house has one. Once you have the office’s answer on dates, (916) 776-8436 is the number to book with.
Grown trees, shrubs and golf course lots
Landscaping here is fully grown, which is one reason buyers choose this community over newer active-adult ones. Where a front yard has a grown tree, the trunk takes a wrap well. We wrap snug enough that the strand can’t slide down the bark and loose enough that it isn’t biting in. Tree and shrub lights fall under the November 15 to January 15 rule, so we time those to sit inside it and take them off in January with the rest. Our tree wrapping page has more on trunk work.
About one in five homes backs to a golf course or other open space. If your lot runs along Timber Creek Golf Course or the nine-hole Sierra Pines course, the back of the house is on view too. A lit rear eave or patio cover is worth asking about.
Six things we hang on a Del Webb single-story
- Roofline lights on eaves, gutters and the entry gable, all within reach of a short ladder.
- Tree wraps on trunks and lower limbs, kept inside the tree and shrub dates.
- Pillar and column wraps at the porch.
- Stake lighting along the front walk or driveway edge, kept clear of sprinkler heads and drip lines.
- Lit wreaths above the garage or beside the door.
- Lit garland around the entry.
We supply every strand. You don’t buy, test or store a thing.
Timers and the golf cart parade
Residents put on a Holiday Golf Cart Parade each December. Decorated carts gather at Timber Creek Lodge and follow a route that winds through the entire community, so a lot of neighbors roll past your house that evening. Tell us if you want the timer set early enough to catch it. Otherwise we set the lights to come on at dusk and shut off before late night.
Quotes by phone or from photos
We quote over the phone, or off pictures of your front elevation sent by text or email. Nobody needs to visit for you to get a number. Call (916) 776-8436 or use the contact page. We also work all over town as Roseville Christmas light installers, including the other 55-plus Del Webb community out west, The Club at WestPark.

Sun City Roseville quick answers
When can holiday decorations go up in Sun City Roseville?
Per the association’s Village Courier, decorative items are allowed four weeks before the holiday and must be removed two weeks after. Lights in trees, shrubs and decorative features are allowed November 15 through January 15. Read the current Design Guidelines, since boards update them.
Do roofline lights follow the same dates as yard decorations?
The published guideline text we’ve read doesn’t say which set of dates covers lights on the roofline. Ask the association’s Community Standards office, and we’ll schedule to match what they tell you.
Will everything be off the house before the association’s removal date?
Yes. We plan the January takedown around the association’s removal dates, trees and shrubs included, so nothing lingers on the house or in the yard past them.
Our lot is on the course. Do you do the rear of the house?
Yes. Rear eaves and patio covers on Timber Creek and Sierra Pines lots are single-story, so it’s simple ladder work. Send a photo of the back along with the front.
