Your front yard at this 55-plus Del Webb community in west Roseville is kept up by the association’s landscapers, and that one fact shapes The Club at WestPark Christmas light installation more than anything on the roof. Lights on the house are yours to plan. Lights in shrubs, in trees or staked into beds that a mow-and-trim crew works need a quick check with the Retreat office first. We handle the house, the cords, the timer and the January removal.

The association and what we know about its rules

All 704 homes belong to The Club at Westpark Community Association, which FirstService Residential manages. The governing documents and newsletters sit behind the resident login, so we have not read a holiday decoration rule and we are not going to print dates we can’t back up. You can pull the current document from the portal or ask at The Retreat clubhouse on Kennerleigh Parkway. Whatever it says about start dates, end dates or where lights may go, we set the hang day and the takedown day inside it.

Three questions worth asking the office before you book:

    • Is there a set period for exterior holiday lights?
    • May lights go on trees and shrubs in the front yard the association maintains?
    • Do the landscapers need stakes or cords kept out of certain beds?

Once you have the answers, call (916) 776-8436 and the job gets built around them.

    One story, tall plate

Del Webb and Pulte built these houses from 2006 to 2014 in nine floor plans, all single-story with ten-foot ceilings. That puts the eave higher than on an older ranch house but well short of two-story work. A standard extension ladder reaches every run. What we do up there:

    • Roofline lights along the front eave, the garage and the entry gable, held by clips. Which clip depends on the roof edge, and the photo you send shows us that.
    • No holes. We don’t put fasteners in stucco, fascia or trim, so there’s nothing to patch and nothing left behind when the lights come down.
    • Straight runs. Low rooflines sit at eye level from the sidewalk, so a sagging strand shows. Clips go close enough to keep the line flat.

The Club at WestPark Christmas light installation at the entry

The front door is where a single-story house gets its detail. Covered entries with columns take pillar wraps. We spiral each column at an even pitch and hide the tie-off at the cap. A lit wreath hangs from an over-the-door hanger or a strap, never a nail. Lit garland follows the door frame or a short porch rail and plugs into the same timer as the roof. Our wreath hanging page has the details on that part.

Yard items, if the office says yes

Street trees here are medium-aged, planted as the phases went in, so trunks are thick enough for a proper tree wrap. We wind it in even turns from the base and stop where the branches start. Stake lighting along the walk goes in shallow and away from irrigation, and we keep it out of the turf edge so mowers and trimmers don’t catch a stake or a cord. If the association prefers nothing in the beds it maintains, the roofline, columns, wreath and garland carry the house fine by themselves.

Where the cord runs on a single-story

The cord runs from your porch or garage outlet along trim or down a downspout, never across the walk where it’s a trip hazard. The timer brings lights on at dusk and off at a reasonable hour, which the neighbors will appreciate. If a section goes out anyway, ring (916) 776-8436.

    Pricing and scheduling

You don’t need to be measured or visited for a quote. Describe the house on a call, or shoot the front from the street and text or email it. The number is (916) 776-8436. We bring the lights, which means no shopping and no bins to keep in the garage afterward, and in January we remove every clip and strand.

This community sits inside the larger WestPark neighborhood. We also serve Sun City Roseville, the gated 55-plus community at Heritage Solaire and the rest of Roseville. To book The Club at WestPark Christmas light installation, call (916) 776-8436 or use the contact page.

The Club at WestPark quick answers

What dates does The Club at WestPark allow holiday lights?

We don’t know, and we won’t guess. The association keeps its documents behind the resident login. Check the portal or ask at The Retreat, then tell us and we’ll schedule inside those dates.

Can lights go in the front yard shrubs and trees?

Ask the office first. The association maintains front yards here, so its landscapers work those beds. If it’s allowed, we wrap and stake so crews can still mow and trim.

Is a single-story house quicker to light?

Generally yes. Even with ten-foot ceilings, every roofline run is reachable from a standard ladder with no steep second-story pitch involved.

Do you work around the association’s landscape crew?

Yes. Stakes and cords stay out of the turf edge and the beds the crew trims, and if the office wants nothing in the beds we keep the display on the house.
