Stucco walls and tile roofs. That’s the typical house in this neighborhood, and it’s the reason a lot of owners here stop doing their own lights. Tile is slick, it breaks, and it’s a long way down from a second-story eave. Woodcreek Oaks Christmas light installation is our routine: we bring the lights, clip them without damage, set a timer and remove it all in January. The number is (916) 776-8436.
How we clip a tile roof
- The clip grips the exposed front edge of the tile. Where there’s a gutter it hooks the gutter lip instead, and if a section turns out to be shingle, a tab slides under the shingle. Nothing is glued and nothing is screwed.
- We work from the ladder and move it often. Nobody crosses the tile to save a ladder move.
- On ridges and hips, we only light what can be reached and clipped safely from the eave. We’ll tell you up front which lines those are.
- Stucco gets no anchors. Cords come down at a downspout or a corner.
Homes here date mostly to the late 1990s and early 2000s, a mix of one-story and two-story plans with two-car or three-car garages. A three-car garage is a long, low, street-facing run, and it’s the first line we’d put roofline lights on.
HOA status: mostly none, check your parcel
The Woodcreek Oaks Neighborhood Association describes itself as a group of neighborhood volunteers and not a homeowners association. It doesn’t set light dates. HOA rules do vary by parcel around here, and some parcels carry their own association. If you pay dues, look up what your association currently says about holiday decorations, then call (916) 776-8436 and we’ll time the work to it. If you don’t, there’s no schedule but yours.
Fairway lots and back yards
Several subdivisions back to the fairways of Woodcreek Golf Club, the city-owned course, or to green space. Back yards here often have pools and hardscape. Two things to know:
- A rear roofline facing the course is seen by more people than you’d guess. We can light it along with the front.
- Around a pool, cord routing matters more. We keep cords off the deck, use the patio outlet closest to the run and keep every connection well away from water.
Not sure the back is worth lighting? Ask on a call to (916) 776-8436. We also do this kind of course-side work at the gated golf community at Morgan Creek.
Trees, columns and walkways
Landscaping is mature and the sidewalks run under grown trees. Front-yard trees have trunks with enough girth for tree wraps. We wind upward in even turns and pull it just tight enough to stay put through wind and rain. A wrap that’s too loose droops by mid-December, and one that’s too tight marks the bark, so we aim between.
Where the entry has columns, they get pillar wraps. Stake lighting follows the walk or the driveway, with stakes placed clear of sprinkler heads. A lit wreath centers over the garage or hangs on the front door. Lit garland goes around the stucco entry using hooks that hang from the edge, not anchors.
Woodcreek Oaks Christmas light installation: power and timing
If your house has a single outlet at the porch and one out back, the cord path matters, so we plan it before the ladder goes up. Rain is what trips an outdoor outlet, so connections get lifted off the ground and tucked under an eave or turned downward. One timer runs the front. If the back is lit from a separate outlet, it gets a matching timer.

Quote, install, removal
Call (916) 776-8436 and describe the house, or send pictures by text or email. The front from across the street, the outlet, plus the rear if your lot meets a fairway. No home visit is involved. We install it, and in January we take it down and haul it off.
Our routes run along Woodcreek Oaks Blvd and Junction Blvd, past Mahany Park and Woodcreek High School. We’re also in Diamond Oaks, the older golf course neighborhood, and all over Roseville. See residential lighting for the full service list. Questions go to (916) 776-8436 or the contact page.
Woodcreek Oaks quick answers
Will clips damage my tile roof?
No. They hook onto the lower lip of the tile, or onto the gutter, and release clean in January. We stay on the ladder instead of walking on tile.
Can the Woodcreek Oaks volunteer association regulate my lights?
No. It says it’s a group of neighborhood volunteers. Some parcels carry their own association, which is why your own closing documents are the place to look.
Can you light the back of a house on the golf course?
Yes. Send a photo of the rear along with the front. We route cords away from pools and use the nearest patio outlet.
What if rain trips the outlet?
Reset it at the outlet’s button first. We raise and shield connections to prevent that, and if it keeps tripping, call us.
